Onna! Covered in Publisher’s Weekly "Comic Week" 

Onna!, a festival in Women’s roles of animation and comics made an appearance 
in the weekly comics-industry newsletter from Publisher’s Weekly. Written by 
Kai-Ming Cha, the article covers events that took place this weekend at Onna!, 
the joint venture between Shoujocon and Yuricon.

Onna! took place on Columbus Day weekend in Newark, NJ, attracting about 750 
attendees in a weekend dedicated to women and the many roles they take in the 
comics and animation industries. Onna! programming included a manga talent 
contest called “Be Discovered at Onna!” in which finalists had their work 
critiqued by professional comic artists Paige Braddock and Tania Del; Rio, 
and representatives from manga publishing companies, DramaQueen and ALC Publishing.
